Hello! I’m Katie.
I’m the Wedding Celebrant for couples who want a ceremony that feels like a highlight, not a formality.
People often ask me how I ended up doing this. The truth? I got tired of seeing my couples let down by boring scripts.
My Story: The "Unicorn" Origin 🦄
Before I was a celebrant, I was a Wedding Manager at a prestigious country estate. I managed a team of fabulous coordinators and oversaw hundreds of weddings. I lived and breathed timelines, logistics, and supplier coordination. But every weekend, I saw the same thing happen. I would spend months getting to know a couple, learning their inside jokes, their family dynamics, and their vision. Then, at the most important moment of the day, I had to hand them over to a Registrars.
Strangers who didn't know what the couple even looked like, having to get my team to point them out. Venues were selling couples short directing them straight to a registrar led wedding, instead of offering a choice of ceremony officials.
So I decided to fix it and train as a celebrant.
